For the sake of science that was sent into space as an astronaut is not only human, some animal species has ever tasted it 'walks' with the spacecraft. Uniquely, these animals have names respectively. What are they? We look at the list below.
1. Monkey from Iran
January 2013 (28/01) yesterday, the Iranian government announced that they managed to send a monkey into space. Delivery monkey into space this is one of the projects belonging to the Iranian government's success. Previously they also sent a number of other animals such as rat, turtles and worms into space.
2. Laika from Russia
Laika was a Russian dog names and became the first animal successfully sent into space in 1957. Unfortunately, the Russian government thought the only way to send the animal alone and do not think of a way to return to Earth.
3. Able from United States
Warmed by the success of the Russians launched the first animal into space, on May 28, 1959, the United States also do the same. The U.S. government sends two monkeys, one of which is named Able to space. Unlike Russia, the NASA managed to bring home Able to earth.
4. Baker from United States
Able Baker is a friend of participating was launched on the same date. Unlike Able, Baker is able to survive until he died in 1984.
5. Otvazhnaya, Snezhinka and Marfusha
In July 1959, there are 3 more animals sent into space. The third is called Otvazhnaya animals (dogs), Snezhinka (dog), and Marfusha (rabbit). Otvazhnaya successfully flown for 5 times in the span of 1959 to 1960.
6. Miss Sam from United States
NASA re-create the experiment by sending animals into space. As before, NASA is still using the monkey as an object of research on January 21, 1960. This time the chosen monkey named Miss Sam. Monkey is also one made it back safely to earth.
7. Strelka and Belka from Russia
Not to be outdone by their arch-rivals, Russia again sent two dogs into space on August 19, 1960. This time, Russia did not repeat the same event. Strelka and Belka made it back safely to earth.
Several months after returning to Earth, Strelka gave birth to six healthy puppies. One of them named Pushinka sent to U.S. President John F. Kennedy as a gift for his son.
8. Ham of the United States
Ham is the name of the first chimpanzee sent into space. Ham's name is an acronym of the laboratory where she prepared, Holloman Aerospace Medical Center, located at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. When sent on January 31, 1961, Ham was not experiencing significant problems remain calm and just be dehydrated.
Ham made it back safely to earth and spent 17 year at the National Zoo, Washington.
9. Felix from France
Not only Russia and the United States alone, France was also never sent animals into space. Unlike the two countries, France would prefer a cat named Felix to be delivered on October 18, 1963.

10. Pig bristles from U.S.

From the list above looks at the most sent into space was a monkey nation. Perhaps because of their biological similarity to humans as primates, that deserve to be research.
